Winter Crochet: November

Hello everyone!

I have taken longer than usual to write another post, but work and the huge number of deadlines which I have had in the past few weeks have prevented me from even looking at much else. Now I have a short interval, which I will make use of!

Thank you for your comments on my last post – I’m glad to see I am not alone in always having unmanageable sleeves!

I have had a look back at my previous blog posts and I was quite horrified at the photo quality! I hope you forgive me – it is appalling how bad they are! I will try and amend matters from now on.

As this post is, as the heading suggests, about the Winter Project Link Party run by the lovely Jennifer, I am going to refrain from writing about the jumper and instead write about the long-neglected blanket.

You have seen nothing but squares of this blanket, my friends, and I am afraid you will see nothing but squares for a little while. As you may expect, I have done barely any more on it due to the focus on my (yet incomplete!) jumper, not forgetting the deadlines.

Yet these few little squares I have done and they make my heart glad.

They take a bit of time to do considering I sew in the ends after I have completed the square (how did maths get into this?) so I don’t get the inspired feeling to start making more very often seeing my time is so precious now. This may be another reason why it doesn’t get done.

Nevertheless, every square counts and I might just be able to get it done by next Spring, don’t you think? 😀

Hope you all have a lovely week! 🙂

Eleanor x

P.S. I think every time I have typed ‘square’ in this post, I have instead typed sqaure instead!!!! Aagghhh!

  1. I think it’s good to have a long term project on the go, something to come back to in between all the other makes. I never rush anything I’m making as I like to enjoy the process of putting it all together. It doesn’t matter how long your blanket takes, I’m sure it’s going to be gorgeous when it’s finished and it will be something you treasure.

  2. Hi Eleanor, thank you for joining in with my link party! I completely understand how you’re feeling about your progress, but you’re doing really well. Those squares are very nice and they will make a beautiful blanket eventually, when you’re able to give it your attention. Be gentle with yourself, life happens! You’re doing great. I hope you’re having a good week, take care.
