I’m back!

Wow, it’s been a while hasn’t it? But you know what that means? I have a huge pile of stuff to reveal to you!

First of all, look what I won in a giveaway over at Lazy Daisy Jones!

I am IN LOVE with this book! Just look at these dinky garden shoes!

So far I have made the Mary Janes – also just as adorable!

The good news is I know someone with a little one on the way – so more cute makes are definitely on the agenda!

Next up: I completed my Laced Cream cardigan!

I so enjoyed this project – though I did leave it lying around for ages. The yarn I used was Rico Design Essentials Baby DK and it was the softest thing ever. It was an absolute joy to use it. Also, the pattern’s a top-down one and I am a sucker for anything seamless. The less sewing in ends, the better!

I also finished the other cardigan which I talked about here. This one was a breeze. It had the easiest stitch pattern which was just made up of trebles (US terms: dc) and chains but created the most striking geometric pattern.

The yarn was King Cole Giza cotton in Rosehip – a bright, cheery, beautiful colour.

One more item of clothing from my summer makes…

May I introduce Rosie?

This was my first attempt at filet crochet and I loved it.

(Awkward selfie warning) Let me show you the detail…

It’s the same front and back. More details can be found on the Ravelry page.

Now onto the biggie…

I know, I’m sorry, Granny Pieces isn’t finished yet but I had such an urge to make this one – and you’ll forgive me when I tell you that this is a stash-buster.

I’m using scraps of all different yarn weights to create simple granny squares of (more or less) the same size. The plan is to then crochet them together with white DK yarn. When I get onto that, I’ll do a separate explanatory post.

It’s going to be my #uniblanket. I currently make the squares to the accompaniment of the BBC Radio 4 podcast omnibus of Home Front. Such a great programme.

Anyway, I think that’s it.

Apart from that I’m now back on Instagram, @harebells_crochet.

Now that is it.

Have a beautiful week! Hopefully I will get back to regular blogging now. I took a complete break over the summer, but it’s nice to be back.

Eleanor x
